A Celebration of Black Women in Storytelling Through Event Photography
In a powerful celebration of Black women in storytelling, Maryland Corporate Photographer Nichole Terry had the privilege to capture an unforgettable evening at the recent Sunset Movies & Mimosas event, hosted by Vital Voices, KweliTV and BLK+GRN. This event was designed to bring together creators, activists, and community members to amplify the voices of Black women in film, art, and media.
For this unique gathering, which took place against the backdrop of a vibrant Maryland sunset, event photography played a crucial role in capturing the essence and impact of the evening. Our Maryland Corporate Photographer skillfully documented every aspect of the event, from the candid moments of connection and laughter to the inspiring panel discussions. These images not only encapsulate the rich storytelling on display but also uplift the importance of representation in media itself, particularly through the lens of a Black woman photographer.

Through event photography, we capture more than just images; we capture experiences and shared stories that resonate within communities. The Sunset Movies & Mimosas event brought people together to experience the art of storytelling and enjoy films curated by KweliTV. BLK+GRN’s involvement added depth to the event by focusing on wellness and sustainability, creating an experience that was both enlightening and uplifting.
